When Was LightShine Founded?

Kim and Gwen Crissman were Directors for the JESUS Video Project of New Mexico, a nonprofit corporation that had been established for the specific needs of that ministry.

On January 10, 2000, LightShine Ministries, Inc. was officially licensed as a nonprofit corporation in New Mexico after the Board of Directors of JESUS Video Project of New Mexico renamed that ministry and changed its Mission Statement to reflect the expanded purpose and goals of LightShine.

Subsequently, on April 12, 2000, LightShine received its 501(c)(3) IRS designation. The paperwork associated with these events are located in the "Govt Filings" section.
