The primary evangelical method LightShine encourages for reaching our state is called "Lighthouses," a movement begun by Mission America in January, 1999.

The Lighthouse concept is very simple ... it calls Christians to PRAY for those God has placed around them, to CARE for those people in a Christ-like way, and to be ready to SHARE with them the Good News of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

The goal for Lighthouses in New Mexico is that every man, woman or young person in our state would have a Lighthouse available to pray for them, care about them, and willing to share Jesus with them..

So far, more than 150 churches statewide have joined the Lighthouse Movement and over 2,000 New Mexico families are Lighthouses in their neighborhoods, their workplaces, and their schools.
